The pair were surprised to become the final two contestants left in camp after the public voted for Lucy Pargeter to leave the programme in third place on yesterday's (December 7) show.
Speaking after Lucy's exit, David told Kian that he couldn't understand why he had made the final.
Kian replied: "You've come in here and outlasted everyone else and that's because you are a good guy and people vote for nice people."
The former boyband member also expressed shock at staying in the programme for longer than the other celebrities, particularly Joey Essex.
He explained: "I have a fanbase of Westlife fans but nothing like what Joey has - he has over 2 million followers on Twitter, I have 250,000.
"That's still a lot but even so he has 1.75m more than me so it's like, what has happened?
"It's way beyond my expectations. I never expected to be here in the final. I'm absolutely gobsmacked."
David added: "I'm deeply honoured, I can't quite understand this whole thing, and all I know is that I've had the most amazing time in here."
The fashion designer recently admitted that he thought the show was staged before taking part this year.
He said: "I didn't think they were going off to a hotel every night but I didn't imagine we'd be sleeping under the stars!
"I had no idea about the hunger, I thought people brought in food and cooked it for you, I just thought this would be a bit of a romp."
