Foo Fighters have posted a picture teasing their eighth studio album to Instagram.
The band, who are preparing to release the follow-up to 2011's Wasting Light this year, uploaded an image of five master tapes labelled "Foo Fighters LP 8" to their official account, declaring: "It's F**king ON."
Frontman Dave Grohl revealed in August that the band would return with a new studio album this year, saying 2014 "is going to be a really big year for the Foo Fighters".
The band reunited on stage in December for a concert in Mexico city, their first gig since September 2012.
Foo Fighters have also been confirmed for a gig in the run-up to this year's Super Bowl. They will team up with the Zac Brown Band on February 1, ahead of Super Bowl XLVIII on February 2.
