She told The Sun : "I actually didn't know where I was going or what the future held at the end of 2012. There's been a lot of change, this album is about taking the plunge and embracing the future and not holding on to things from the past."

Minogue will unveil her new single 'Into The Blue' on January 27. The track will serve as the first single from her currently untitled twelfth studio album.

The 'Wow' star revealed that joining Roc Nation and signing up for the third series of The Voice UK helped inspire her.

"It wasn't the easiest road but signing with Roc Nation, spending a lot of time in America and doing The Voice gave me a challenge and I needed that to feel reinvigorated," she said.

The 45-year-old will play new tracks from the LP at a MasterCard Priceless Gig in March, with a date and venue to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
