Caroline Flack runs on supermarket checkout for Sport Relief - watch

Caroline Flack has got into the Sport Relief spirit by running on a unique treadmill.

The Xtra Factor star surprised shoppers at her local Sainsbury's in Whitechapel, East London, by running on a specially built checkout.

The TV presenter also wore the official Sport Relief T-shirt in order to promote Sainsbury's Sport Relief Games, which will be held this weekend (March 21 to 23).

Flack said: "I was challenged to do the ultimate supermarket sporting challenge - the Sainsbury's checkout treadmill!

"It was hilarious to do my workout where I usually do my shopping, especially with store colleagues and shoppers looking on, but now I have the official kit I'm all set for the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Games."

She added: "It felt great to get involved and I encourage everyone to get your gear from Sainsbury's and sign up to run, swim or cycle at sportrelief.com!"

Several stars have taken part in similar stunts for Sainsbury's and Sport Relief over the past month, including McBusted racing each other on bikes from different eras.

Yesterday (March 17), BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw completed 1,000 miles of cycling over 12 hours, raising £115,582 for the charity.
