Chris Martin is set to join season 6 of The Voice as an artist adviser, it has been announced.
News of Martin joining the show was revealed via Coldplay's Twitter account, which read: "Chris is to work with @adamlevine @blakeshelton @usher & @shakira as a Key Adviser on this season's US #TheVoice."

The Coldplay frontman will assist contestants on the US version of the reality competition show as they gear up for battle rounds on the NBC series.

Coldplay recently debuted two songs from their new album Ghost Stories at SXSW.
The album is set to debut on May 19.
