The How I Met Your Mother actors were appearing with the rest of the comedy's cast on Inside the Actors Studio , when an audience member asked if the pair would mind singing 'The Confrontation' since the musical is returning to Broadway.
The pair obliged with Harris taking the part of Javert, while Segel took on Jean Valjean. The parts were played by Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman respectively in the 2012 film.
Inside the Actors Studio aired ahead of the finale of How I Met Your Mother, which will screen in the US on March 31.
