The trailer sees US vice president Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus ) seeking the advice of a spin doctor as she considers running for the nation's highest office.
A previous teaser was released in February, and featured Meyer struggling to tackle balloons in her office.
The show's third season premiere next month is airing shortly after Louis-Dreyfus's induction into the Academy Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame.
HBO commissioned the new slate of episodes from Veep writer Armando Iannucci last May.
Veep returns to HBO on April 6 at 10pm in the US. Sky Atlantic airs the show in the UK.
