Lucy, played by Hetti Bywater , was seen meeting up with Max in a hotel room in the soap's latest episode (April 3).
Viewers already knew that Lucy had embarked on a new relationship, as she had recently been sending secret texts and making phone calls to an unknown person.
The latest visit to Walford saw Lucy appear distracted while attending the birthday celebrations of Max's daughter Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa).
When it became clear that Lucy would rather be somewhere else, she seized an opportunity to leave before heading off to a hotel room.
Once inside, Lucy was quickly greeted by Max (Jake Wood), who emerged from the shower and fell into bed with her.
Digital Spy can also present a first-look picture from Friday's episode (April 4), which sees the shock storyline continue as Lucy and Max wake up in the hotel after spending the night together.

The Lucy twist forms part of the ongoing build-up to her death at Easter.
As first announced in February, Lucy will soon be killed off - sparking a long-running mystery storyline and a dark new chapter for the Beale family.
