The seven-minute clip demonstrates the world customisation feature, which is included in an upcoming update for the sandbox title.
Update 1.8 will also allow players to create their own terrain, and contains 16 sliders that can be used to affect various aspects of the game's terrain generator.
In addition, users can type in values directly and will have complete control over multiple in-game assets, such as the sea level and what structures they want to generate.
Minecraft was affected by the Heartbleed bug earlier this month, and it recently surpassed 100 million registered users on PC.
