A spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie has been cancelled.
"The other guys actually had a secret meeting in a pub near Rare and we even got as far as having a character drawn up and a demo level type thing but it all fell to bits... everyone's got other jobs etc," Kirkhope said in a Reddit AMA thread.

Dubbed Mingy Jongo, the project fell apart during its development period, according to series composer Grant Kirkhope.
"The other guys actually had a secret meeting in a pub near Rare and we even got as far as having a character drawn up and a demo level type thing but it all fell to bits... everyone's got other jobs etc," Kirkhope said in a Reddit AMA thread.
Created by Rare, the Banjo-Kazooie series made its debut on the Nintendo 64.
It revolves around a bear and his companion, a short-tempered bird that nests in a backpack.
A game titled Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty Land was rumoured to be among Microsoft's E3 2013 lineup.
