New Ace Attorney sequel announced for Nintendo 3DS

Another Ace Attorney game has been revealed by Capcom .

The new title is in the works for Nintendo 3DS and has only been announced for a Japanese release.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies

"This title is not confirmed for the west," the publisher told IGN .

The 3DS game is reportedly set during Japan's Meija era, when the region is said to have transformed from a feudal society to its modern state.

It also focuses on a new primary protagonist who is an ancestor of the series' Phoenix Wright character.

The project is being directed by Ace Attorney creator Shu Takimi, who wasn't involved in the development process of last year's Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies , which was also developed for 3DS.
