Sonam Kapoor: 'I hope to achieve 20% of what Rekha has'

Sonam Kapoor has said that she is inspired by veteran actress Rekha.

Kapoor stars in the remake of the 1980 film Khoobsurat which originally featured Rekha in the lead role.

The 27-year-old told IANS : "I finished (filming) Khoobsurat. It was amazing and will release this year."

She added that contrary to rumours, Rekha did not make a cameo appearance in the film, however she is supportive of the project.

"No, we don't have her (Rekha) making a guest appearance unfortunately, but she is one of my family's closest friends. We always need her blessings.

"That day when we were at the launch together she said let's take a picture so, that was our Khoobsurat moment.

"It's so sweet of her to say that. She is incredible. I hope to achieve at least 20% of what she has achieved. She is awesome. I want to look like her," she added.

Produced by the actress's sister Rhea Kapoor, the film also stars Kirron Kher and Ratna Pathak.
