The winner of American Idol 2014 has been revealed.
Caleb Johnson was named as this year's champion in a nail-biting final against Jena Irene , which concluded this evening (May 21).
The North Carolina-born singer received the highest number of public votes following his performance of Aerosmith's 'Dream On' and Paul McCartney's 'Maybe I'm Amazed'.
Johnson also sang his debut single 'As Long as You Love Me', as well as taking to the stage with Kiss guitarist Paul Stanley on 'Love Gun' and 'Shout It Out Loud'.
The 23-year-old's debut album is slated for an August 12 release and is available to pre-order on iTunes.
