The six-hour docu-series will air on three consecutive nights on the cable channel beginning on Memorial Day (Monday, May 26).
Academy Award nominee Jeremy Renner will narrate The World Wars, which will chronicle the events that led to World War I and World War II.
Obama's introduction will air before the premiere episode, and he will discuss the ways that the World Wars shaped the latter half of the 20th century.
US senator John McCain, former British prime minister Sir John Major, General Colin Powell and other prominent political figures will also contribute to the miniseries.
