Hyrule Warriors developer Tecmo Koei is aiming to sell more than 1 million copies of the Legend of Zelda spinoff.
Studio executive Yoichi Erikawa told Nikkei Trendy (via Nintendo Everything ) that he hopes the Wii U exclusive will find favour with both Zelda and Dynasty Warriors fans.
"Because of The Legend of Zelda's legion of fans overseas, we are aiming to sell more than 1 million copies worldwide."

The game combines characters and enemies from the popular Nintendo series with gameplay from Tecmo's Dynasty Warriors titles.
Studio executive Yoichi Erikawa told Nikkei Trendy (via Nintendo Everything ) that he hopes the Wii U exclusive will find favour with both Zelda and Dynasty Warriors fans.
"In gaming, this is a first-time collaboration," he said. "As a new entry in the Warriors series, we plan to release the game Hyrule Warriors in collaboration with Nintendo in the summer of this year.
"In addition to our Warriors series fan base, Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda is also a very popular series with a large fanbase, and I think it will become a great new market.
"Because of The Legend of Zelda's legion of fans overseas, we are aiming to sell more than 1 million copies worldwide."
A Western release date for Hyrule Warriors has yet to be announced.
