Max George apologises for Michelle Keegan Twitter rant

Max George has apologised for a Twitter rant apparently aimed at ex-fiancée Michelle Keegan.

The Wanted singer launched an attack on the Coronation Street star after they both reportedly attended the same club in Marbella.

He first wrote the word "tw*t", before adding: "'Don't let him in'... Soaps don't have that power kids. Embarrassing. Is that fame? S***. Better chase that one."

He has since deleted the tweets and issued an apology on Twitter.

The Mirror quotes a friend of Keegan as saying that the incident arose after George sent a member of staff to Keegan's table to ask if he could join her.

Keegan - whose Coronation Street character died in last night's episode after falling off a balcony - is reported to have said the table was full, prompting the outburst.

The pair ended their relationship in July 2012 after dating for 18 months. George has since admitted writing songs abut his ex.
