Tech wearables are set to go a step beyond watches and glasses with Intel 's new smart shirt.

The company has teamed up with smart clothing maker AIQ using its Edison chip, which was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year.
Speaking at Re/Code 's Code Conference, Intel's CEO Brian Krzanich revealed the device is capable of reading a person's heart rate and even their emotional state.
The battery-powered monitor can handle some rain but is not made for heavy water exposure. It is also removable when the shirt needs washing, Krzanich added.
Like much of the existing wearable sector, Intel's smart shirt is aimed at fitness enthusiasts keen to keep track of their vitals, although it could also be useful for tracking the health of small children and the elderly.
The smart shirt is expected to arrive in the summer, but the exact pricing remains unknown.
