Stephen King is set to make a cameo on the CBS series Under the Dome.
According to Deadline , King will appear in a new episode he has written for the series.

The show, based on a novel by King, premiered to stellar ratings last summer, prompting a renewal for a second season.

Under the Dome celebrated becoming the most-watched new series on broadcast television last year.
Several other projects based on Stephen King novels are in the works, including a Gerald's Game film and a television sequel to Firestarter .
Under the Dome returns to screens in the US on June 30.
