20th Century Fox has now confirmed that it will release Joy on Christmas Day (December 25) in 2015.

20th Century Fox has now confirmed that it will release Joy on Christmas Day (December 25) in 2015.
The Christmas Day release date will put Joy up against Mission: Impossible 5 and Kung Fu Panda 3 .
Joy will chronicle the journey of Mangano from being a Long Island housewife to finding worldwide success as the inventor of the Miracle Mop.
Annie Mumolo is writing the screenplay for Joy, following her box office success with the Oscar-nominated Bridesmaids .
