The Passport offers a unique 4.5-inch square screen with full HD capabilities - significantly bigger than the largest on the market, such as Samsung's Galaxy Note 3.
BlackBerry claims that a square shape enables it to accommodate a greater number of characters on screen - 60 characters instead of around 40 - for reading e-books, viewing documents and browsing the web.
The BlackBerry Passport will be released in September.
