Karan Johar has confirmed that Salman Khan will play the lead role in Shhuddhi.
Johar confirmed the news on Twitter.

Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor were initially cast in the film, but both pulled out of the project.
Johar confirmed the news on Twitter.
It was earlier reported that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone had been offered the lead role, but Johar denied this.
It is the second time that the director has teamed up with Salman after his 1998 directing debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the lead roles and also featured a special appearance from Salman.
Salman Khan is currently promoting Kick and is due to begin shooting for Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
