Legends of Gaming is an upcoming online eSports channel fronted by popular YouTube gamer Ali A.
As part of the channel, established and up-and-coming YouTube stars will compete in a nationwide tournament to crown the ultimate gamer.
The tournament will feature multiple genres, which Endemol believes will create an even playing field and maximise the potential for upsets.
Competitors will also dress up as their superhero alter-egos, complete with homemade costumes and "cheesy catchphrases".
The channel launches with the 'Next Generation' tournament for up-and-coming gamers from September to December, before moving on to the Elite category in early 2015.
The tournament culminates with the Legends of Gaming LIVE expo next September.
Featuring live matches, meet-and-greet sessions and gameplay demos, the event will be held at London's Alexandra Palace from September 3-6, 2015.
Organiser Katie Ventresca called Legends of Gaming LIVE a "dramatic shift in video game events".
"Legends of Gaming LIVE will be a truly spectacular expo, built around YouTube and streamed live on Twitch.
"We've got some incredible plans for Alexandra Palace. From AAA to indie, from mobile to home console – be it for young or for old, Legends of Gaming LIVE will have something for everyone."
Endemol recently teamed up with an international space programme to establish a human colony on Mars as part of a new series.
The international production company is also behind the likes of Big Brother, which recently crowned Gary Busey as its celebrity champion.
