Rutger Hauer has been cast in ABC's upcoming musical comedy Galavant.

Galavant is a musical fairytale comedy about a knight (Joshua Sasse) taking on the evil King Richard (Omundson) who stole the love of his life from him.

Deadline reports that the Blade Runner actor will have a recurring role as Kingsley, the more evil older brother of King Richard (Timothy Omundson) on the show that debuts in mid-season.

Galavant is a musical fairytale comedy about a knight (Joshua Sasse) taking on the evil King Richard (Omundson) who stole the love of his life from him.
The cast also includes Mallory Jansen, Karen David and Vinnie Jones.
Hauer is best known for his role in acclaimed sci-fi movie Blade Runner and also for his parts in The Hitcher, Sin City and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.
He joins an already formidable list of guest stars for the first season including Ricky Gervais, John Stamos and Hugh Bonneville.
