Shu has been announced for PlayStation platforms by Coatsink Software .
"In building the concept, we really liked the idea of a colorful world juxtaposed with a sinister villain; the idea of saving relics of your past and present, and moving through the remnants of earlier civilizations," said Secret Lunch designer Sam Gross on the PlayStation Blog.
Originally conceived by Secret Lunch, the 2.5D side-scrolling platformer draws inspiration from classics such as Klonoa and Abe's Oddysee.

"In gaming, our inspirations are classics like Klonoa and Abe's Oddysee (to name a few)."
Featuring hand-drawn characters, the upcoming game is set in an environment where a deadly storm has forced villagers to seek refuge across the land and many have become trapped.
Players will traverse through an array of landscapes, including a savanna, forests and a desolate mountain.
Coatsink Software is aiming to release Shu by the middle of next year for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.
