Helen Fulthorpe, whose son filled in her application for the show, returns in the hope of proving to her son that he made the right decision.
She sings Otis Redding's 'Try a Little Tenderness', with the crowd roaring when she hits the notes.
Also returning is Michael Marouli, who leaps down to perform in front of the judges table. His decision to focus more on his dance moves than his singing does not impress Mel B.
She tells Marouli that she feels she is in "some tacky discotheque in Magaluf" and gives the singer a "no".
The episode will also feature Mel B being teased by fellow judges Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh over her accent, with the former Spice Girl asking: "Am I just sat here for abuse?"
The X Factor continues tonight (Sunday, September 21) at 8pm on ITV.
