X Factor: Scarlett Quinn's future in balance as she forgets her lyrics

X Factor hopeful Scarlett Quinn places Simon Cowell in a difficult position when she falls apart during her Six Chair Challenge audition.

The 28-year-old singer, who appeared at her first audition as part of husband/wife double act Kitten and the Hip, forgets nearly all her lyrics during her Boot Camp performance, which airs tonight (September 27).

Scarlett panics backstage before the audition, telling the production staff that she's gone blank on the lyrics. Despite a long delay and constant reassurance from Dermot O'Leary and production staff, she is visibly nervous when she takes to the stage.

Her worst fears become reality when her cover of Duran Duran's 'Ordinary World' starts and she can barely remember any of the words.

She is left with only her previous performances and Cowell's goodwill to stand any chance of landing one of the six spots left in the Over 25s category.

The X Factor airs at 8pm on ITV.
