Jake Gyllenhaal has indicated that he would be keen to direct in the future - but only when he feels "presumptuous enough".
"I'm searching, but I have yet to feel presumptuous enough," Gyllenhaal said.

The actor told the Produced By: New York conference that he has not yet found the right project to bring him behind the camera, according to Variety .
"I'm searching, but I have yet to feel presumptuous enough," Gyllenhaal said.
The Brokeback Mountain actor added that he would be interested in starring in a cable show.
"Story is king," he said. "Whatever format you're telling your story in, as long as it's a great story."
