The Swedish studio's Owen Hill told Touch Arcade that the title is due to exit beta around late November.
"The guesstimate is late November," he said. "But we're not going to release it until it's ready, if you know what I mean."
The PC version of Scrolls was recently given a price drop from $20 to $5, but the iOS edition will be free to download and sample, with a one-off in-app purchase required to unlock the full game.
Hill went on to say that Microsoft's recent acquisition of Mojang is unlikely to result in any changes to the Scrolls business model or the content of the game.
Scrolls was the subject of a legal dispute between Mojang and Elder Scrolls studio Bethesda Softworks when the title was announced, but this has since been resolved.
