Meghan Trainor claims UK's longest-running female number one of 2014

Meghan Trainor has claimed the UK's longest-running female number one single of 2014.

'All About That Bass' is spending its third week at the top of the singles chart, which also makes the debut single the second longest-running number one of the entire year.

Only Clean Bandit's 'Rather Be' has enjoyed a longer run at number one, topping the chart for four consecutive weeks at the beginning of the year.

Taylor Swift's 'Shake It Off' climbs two places to number two, while One Direction claim this week's highest new entry with 'Steal My Girl' at number three.

'Thinking Out Loud' by Ed Sheeran takes number four, as Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj round off the top five with 'Bang Bang'.

The Vamps' 'Oh Cecilia', featuring Shawn Mendes, enters the chart at number nine, while Eminem and Sia's 'Guts Over Fear' debuts at ten.

'Bullit' by Watermat is new at 15, as Wilkinson's 'Dirty Love' featuring Talay Riley enters at 20.

Krishane claims his first top 40 single with 'Drunk and Incapable', featuring Melissa Steel, at number 27.


Charli XCX's 'Break the Rules' gives the singer her fourth top 40 track at number 35.
