The BBC station will celebrate with a special EastEnders-themed edition of its regular concert show Friday Night Is Music Night in mid-February, as well as a live broadcast from Albert Square in the anniversary week itself.
February 13 will see the transmission of Friday Night Is EastEnders Night, billed as "an evening of music, song and a good old cockney knees-up".
Hosted by Bobby Davro, the event was pre-recorded last night (January 27) at London's Hackney Empire, with EastEnders stars Shona McGarty (Whitney Dean), Declan Bennett (Charlie Cotton) and John Partridge (Christian Clarke) among the performers.
The show will air in a two-hour slot from 8pm.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday February 17, Steve Wright In The Afternoon will be broadcast live from the set of EastEnders for three hours from 2pm.
Taking place during the BBC soap's highly-anticipated Live Week, the programme will include interviews and a behind-the-scenes insight from EastEnders' cast and crew.
Wright and his team will also try to uncover some last-minute clues in the 'Who Killed Lucy Beale?' mystery as the whodunit nears its conclusion.
EastEnders turns 30 on February 19.
