12 Years a Slave actor Chris Chalk will play the DC character in the Fox drama series, appearing in the penultimate episode of the first season and possibly returning in season two.

Lucius Fox appears in the Batman comics as Bruce Wayne's business manager and the CEO of Wayne Enterprises. He supposedly unknowingly runs the business interests that supply the superhero's equipment needs.
Morgan Freeman portrayed the role in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy.
Chalk has appeared on Broadway and most recently starred on HBO's The Newsroom.
In other casting news, Jada Pinkett Smith has said that she is unlikely to return as crime boss Fish Mooney next season.
Gotham airs on Mondays on Fox in the US. Channel 5 airs the series in the UK.
