Hearthstone's Blackrock Mountain adventure mode announced by Blizzard

The 'Blackrock Mountain' adventure mode for Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft has been announced by Blizzard .

The announcement was made at the PAX East show in Boston and was confirmed in a post on the Battle.net forum on March 6.

The virtual card game's second adventure mode pits players against single-player bosses - each of which has unique cards at their disposal.

Players who battle their way through the five wings in 'Blackrock Mountain' will be rewarded with new cards to add to their collection.

The single-player adventure also has its own unique game board, which will eventually become a part of the normal board rotation in Play and Arena modes, and it introduces nine new class challenges and an unlockable Heroic mode with more challenging bosses.

Following the same pricing as 'Curse of Naxxramas', each wing within 'Blackrock Mountain' can be purchased either with in-game gold or real money.

'Blackrock Mountain' is currently planned to release simultaneously in April for PC, Mac, iPad and Android tablets.

Pre-orders will be available starting March 19 with pre-order customers being offered an exclusive card back.
