Ryan Reynolds: 'Baby daughter is allergic to sleep'

Ryan Reynolds couldn't resist gushing about his new baby daughter during an appearance on The Tonight Show last night (March 3).

The actor and wife Blake Lively welcomed their first child at the end of last year.

During his interview with host Jimmy Fallon, Reynolds joked: "Our baby in particular is, we think, allergic to sleep... We think that she thinks she's protecting us from the sleep monsters. Like, 'Oh, I've got to keep them up or the sleep monsters will get them'. God."

Sharing his secret for getting her to sleep, he said: "The trick I try to use is that Baby Einstein stuff, but for me, that's like horse tranquilliser. I could go down on a lit stove. You could push me out of an airplane, and I, yeah, and the weirdest dreams."

The actor admitted that his daughter - whose name the couple have not revealed - has him "wrapped around her finger". He also described fatherhood as "the best" adding: "I am a slave to the rhythm... I can't wait. It's just going to be teatime every day with her."

Reynolds recently took to Twitter to thank fans for their support for Deadpool, suggesting that they were responsible for getting the project off the ground after numerous delays.
