As we all learn way too early on in life, kids can be heartbreakingly, soul-crushingly mean. They throw out insults not fully knowing what their words can mean to to the recipients, and often lead to a whole lot of money in therapy bills later in life.
Four-year-old Siahj Chase, however, shrugs off these insults like a boss. In a video uploaded to Facebook, Siajh, who goes by Cici, explains to her mother that a boy had called her ugly at school that day.
“What did you say?” Cici’s mom, Sonya, replies.
“I said, ‘I didn’t come here to make fashion statements. I came here to learn, not look pretty.’”
BOOM. Mic dropped.
Then, when the little boy taunted her appearance again, Cici replied, “Did you look in a mirror lately? Bye bye, see you later, you’re making me mad.”
(For the record, we think Cici is beautiful on the inside and out.)
