50 Cent Explains His Friendship With Floyd Mayweather Even After The Insults

Everyone thought 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather were still beefing until a photo of them looking peaceful surfaced online Thursday (April 23). So, how did the two reunite after a harsh public feud? We asked Fif.

“We’ve been good,” 50 told MTV News’ Josh Horowitz during an April 23 CinemaCon 2015 interview at Fizz, Las Vegas. “My younger brother happens to be the best fighter in the world. He can make $200 million in 36 minutes. How do you tell him what to do? You don’t.

“Sometimes he’s not right,” Fif continued. “You’ll tell him, ‘You’re not right.’ Because everyone else is codependent, he can’t agree with you. Then you have that argument until he starts to look at it and goes, ‘Alright. He was right.’”

It’s good to see the original Money Team back together because their friendship looked almost irreparable last year. If you recall, 50 dissed Floyd several times, even calling the boxer illiterate in a series of social media posts.

Glad true friendship prevailed despite that feud. Now the (original) Money Team can fully focus on Mayweather’s upcoming fight against Manny Pacquiao on May 2.
