Gone with the Wind dress worn by Vivien Leigh sells for $137,000

has sold at auction.

The two-piece costume worn by Leigh's character Scarlett O'Hara fetched $137,000 (£91,000) when it went under the hammer in California.

The dress was among the 150 items sold by collector James Tumblin in the Beverly Hills auction on Saturday (April 18).

Tumblin originally bought the dress for $20 from a costume shop.

Leigh won an Oscar for her portrayal of Scarlett O'Hara in the 1939 film.
