Tyler, The Creator made headlines when he gave his friend Kendall Jenner the middle finger at Coachella. Some wondered if there was animosity behind the gesture even though she replied with a smile and a middle finger of her own. So, what was that all about?
“That’s my n—a,” Tyler told Billboard. “I’m really good friends with her. It was literally a joke. Like, if you saw your friend, you’d be like, ’F— you!’ and then go get coffee after.”
Tyler’s also friends with another Jenner: Kylie. I mean, they’ve even had a dance party in the past. Given that his song ‘F—king Young/Perfect’ is about someone who’s younger than he is, Tyler was asked about Kylie’s rumored relationship with Tyga.
“People should just leave [Tyga] alone,” Tyler said. “But then again, I don’t know why people put everything on social media that nobody has to know. They don’t have to put everything out. That girl I’m talking about [on ‘F—king Young/Perfect’], I don’t let y’all know who it is, but she’s out there.”
“F—king Young/Perfect” is a song off Tyler’s latest album Cherry Bomb, which also features his Kanye West and Lil Wayne collaboration “Smuckers.” According to Tyler, the track was originally made in 2011 and was meant for Yeezy and Jay Z. Eventually, he says he took the song back and sent it to Lil Wayne. In the end, Yeezus still wanted to be on it.
“I played it for ’Ye at his house literally four days before the album was due,” Tyler said. “He was like, ’OK, I got to step my bars up. Y’all n—-s is spitting.’ It was such a sick thing to know that me and Wayne had to put ’Ye back on his feet.”
Tyler’s having a busy 2015 so far. Aside from releasing his new album and performing at Coachella, he also recently unveiled a new Golf Media app. To top it all of he was even an answer on “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.”
