Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew 'back together, planning to remarry'

Sarah Ferguson has reportedly rekindled her romance with Prince Andrew.

The Duke and Duchess of York, who divorced in 1996, are so close that they are planning to remarry, according to The Daily Telegraph .

Friends told the newspaper that they are "a wonderful couple together" and "pretty amazing parents", adding that it is "only a matter of time" before they tie the knot once again.

The pair have remained close since their split and both live at Royal Lodge - the former country home of the Queen Mother in Berkshire.

Ferguson was even invited to stay with the Queen at Balmoral Castle alongside daughters Beatrice and Eugenie earlier this month for the first time in over 20 years.

She had not been invited back since a tabloid newspaper published photographs of her having her toes sucked by John Bryan, her "financial adviser", at the estate in 1992.

The 53-year-old has previously said of their split: "There was no reason for Andrew and I to get divorced; there wasn't another person in our lives to go to.

"We got divorced because I had to go out to work, and Andrew and I believed that it wasn't right for me to be commercial while I was still in the Royal family.

"I had to provide for my children, but not do it on their own doorstep in this country, rubbing the Royal family's noses in my commerciality."

Prince Andrew has provided financial support for Ferguson in the past when she has faced money troubles.

She was caught offering to sell access to her former husband, who acts as a trade envoy, for £500,000 in 2010 and accepted a £27,000 cash down payment from an undercover reporter.

She was not invited to 2011's royal wedding between Prince William and Kate, describing the snub as "so difficult".

A spokesman for the Duchess declined to comment.
