Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd are the favoured choices to appear as the title role in Ant-Man, according to a report.
Frequent Wright collaborator Simon Pegg was rumoured to be taking on the lead role, but both the actor and director have denied the suggestion.

The two stars both meet director Edgar Wright's desire to have a "normal-looking actor" play the character rather than a typical burly action hero, Variety reports.
Gordon-Levitt and Rudd will reportedly meet with Marvel Studios and Wright for a final time, while the possibility of another actor portraying the superhero hasn't been ruled out entirely.
Wright also tweeted a picture of the animated Ant-Man tonight (October 14), attached with the question: "Is this the real Ant-Man or an impostor?"
The director revealed in July that the script for the long-awaited Marvel film had been completed.

The release of Ant-Man was recently moved forward to July 31, 2015.
