Published by Atlus , the upcoming Persona sequel will be released exclusively for PS3 next winter.
Little else is known about the title, which was announced alongside a teaser trailer (above) and a new website.
Set against a red backdrop and featuring an increasing number of chairs held down by chains, the video includes the line: "You are slave. Want emancipation?"
Plans for a Western release are yet to be announced.
Persona 5 will make its PS3 debut next year
Persona 5 rumours intensified after a website filing was made by the parent company of Atlus earlier this year.
The last main entry in the series was Persona 4, which launched on PS2 in 2008.
It was followed by a PlayStation Vita remake titled Persona 4: Golden and 2D fighting game Persona 4 Arena .
