Til Schweiger

Beck is said to have rented the mansion for $11,000 a month from 2010 to February 2013.

However, Schweiger has since reportedly blamed Beck for leaving the house in a bad state at the end of his stay, while also carrying out unauthorised work on the property, resulting in "substantial physical damage" costing $40,571 in repairs.

The 'Loser' singer has argued that the mansion was already in a poor condition upon moving in, including issues with mold, bad plumbing and damaged appliances.

Beck first sued Schweiger for not returning his $11,000 security deposit, leading to the actor counter-suing Beck for the damage and unpaid rent.

Schweiger - perhaps best known for playing Hugo Stiglitz in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds - is demanding a total of $56,704.

Beck will release his 12th studio album Morning Phase in February 2014.
