Radcliffe has been linked to playing Lee Atwater and DeHaan is line for the role of Karl Rove in a film from director John Krokidas, reports The Wrap .

Written by Wes Jones, College Republicans is based on true events from 1973 about then-aspiring political strategist Rove (DeHaan).
Rove is guided by campaign manager Atwater (Radcliffe) to run a dirty campaign to become chairman of the National College Republicans. Rove and Atwater then take a road trip to gain support for their candidacy.
Radcliffe's rep denied the he is officially signed on for College Republicans, but revealed it is one of the roles that the Harry Potter star is considering. DeHaan's rep did not respond.
If Radcliffe and DeHaan agree to the project, College Republicans will reunite the actors and Krokidas after having all worked together on Kill Your Darlings .
Kill Your Darlings was nominated for the Grand JuryPrize at last year's Sundance Film Festival.
DeHaan can be seen next in Life After Beth and the comic book franchise movie The Amazing Spider-Man 2 .
