His character will be a part of a major storyline throughout the end of season five.

Knighton has been cast as a teacher at Kristina Braverman's (Monica Potter) school, who develops into a love interest for Julia (Erika Christensen).
His character will be a part of a major storyline throughout the end of season five.
Knighton is best known for playing food-loving romantic Dave Rose in Happy Endings.
He will also star in the upcoming Fox comedy Weird Loners, which is about four eccentrics who bond while living in a New York townhouse.
It was recently announced that John Corbett was returning to Parenthood as Sarah Braverman's (Lauren Graham) ex-husband Seth.
The Office's David Denman and Lost star Sonya Walger have also guest starred this season.
Parenthood airs on Thursdays at 10pm ET on NBC.
