However, the authenticity of the images has been called into question as the device pictured features on-screen buttons rather than capacitive controls previously rumoured.

Mobiltelefon published the photographs of the next-generation flagship handset, revealing a phone with a similar design to the original HTC One.

However, the authenticity of the images has been called into question as the device pictured features on-screen buttons rather than capacitive controls previously rumoured.
Also referred to as the HTC One Two, the phone is expected to feature a 5-inch 1080p display, 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
A larger 2900mAh battery is said to power the device and Android 4.4 KitKat and HTC's Sense 6 user interface come pre-installed.
The HTC One's successor is expected to be announced in March.
