Penny Marshall and Lorraine Bracco will appear in the upcoming Fox comedy series Mulaney.
Mulaney plays an aspiring comedian who has to put up with his annoying boss (Martin Short), his eccentric neighbour (Elliott Gould) and his demanding roommate (SNL cast member Nasim Pedrad).

Saturday Night Live's Lorne Michaels is producing the multi-camera comedy series based on an idea from writer-star John Mulaney.

Mulaney plays an aspiring comedian who has to put up with his annoying boss (Martin Short), his eccentric neighbour (Elliott Gould) and his demanding roommate (SNL cast member Nasim Pedrad).
Marshall and Bracco are slated to play a lesbian couple who are long-time friends of John's neighbour (Gould), reports TV Line .
Bracco has had a distinguished career in television, having earned two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for playing psychiatrist Dr Jennifer Melfi in The Sopranos.
Marshall is both an actress and a filmmaker, who has directed the hit movies A League of Their Own and Big.
Mulaney was picked up as a pilot by Fox, after NBC famously passed on the project.
