The duo have signed on to play US president Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) and his wife Mellie's (Bellamy Young) children, according to TV Line .

Minnette is best known for starring in the short-lived NBC series Awake , and he also recently appeared in Marvel's Agents of SHIELD.
Carroll's memorable roles have been in the films When a Stranger Calls and Machine Gun Preacher .
Scandal returns on February 27 on ABC. Channel 4 airs the show in the UK.
