Start Trek's Zachary Quinto joins Rupert Friend in Agent 47

Zachary Quinto has been cast in Agent 47.

The Star Trek actor will appear alongside Rupert Friend in Aleksander Bach's Hitman sequel but there are no details as yet on his character, reports Deadline .

Paul Walker was originally cast in Agent 47 but Friend replaced him after he was killed in a car crash in November.

After Walker's death, Agent 47 postponed its production start date from February and will now begin shooting in March.

Quinto will join Agent 47 after The Glass Menagerie ends its run on Broadway on February 23.

The movie apparently follows the agent on a mission to protect a waitress who is targeted by the Syndicate.

Quinto previously starred in Star Trek Into Darkness and Ryan Murphy series American Horror Story.
