Wednesday ratings: American Idol, Modern Family improve

Fox was the number-one network in the key 18-49 demographic with 3.9 in preliminary ratings for Thursday (February 5).

American Idol was up slightly over last week with 3.9 (13.29m) at 8pm on Fox.

ABC's comedy lineup saw The Middle average 2.2 (8.67m) at 8pm, Suburgatory hit 1.7 (6.22m) at 8.30pm, Modern Family up 3% to 3.5 (10.01m) at 9pm, and Super Fun Night garner 1.5 ( 4.60m) at 9.30pm.

Nashville was down 13% at 10pm with 1.3 (5.11m).

NBC's How to Raise an Olympian earned 1.1 (4.43m) at 8pm, followed by Law & Order: SVU dropping 10% at 9pm to 1.8 (6.36m).

Chicago PD was static at 10pm with 1.7 (6.13m).

The CW's Arrow and The Tomorrow People garnered 1.0 (2.75m) at 8pm and 0.5 (1.37m) at 9pm respectively.

CBS aired Criminal Minds's 200th episode at 9pm, with the instalment up 27% to 2.8 (12.81m). CSI generated 2.0 (11.02m) at 10pm.
