Turner's representative said: "While travelling in South America, Ted Turner was admitted to a local hospital for observation.

A spokesperson for the media mogul said that Turner is seeking medical treatment in Argentina, but declined to confirm reports that he is suffering from appendicitis.
Turner's representative said: "While travelling in South America, Ted Turner was admitted to a local hospital for observation.
"Given it is our policy not to comment on his personal health, no further details will be provided."
The media personality owns three ranches in Argentina.
Turner has maintained a lower profile in recent years, after departing CNN amid the failure of the AOL Time Warner merger.
He was famously married to Jane Fonda from 1991 to 2001.
