The actress - who played Hermione Granger in the eight-part movie series - dedicated her British Artist of the Year award to Millie, an on-set hamster who had a heart attack during shooting of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
The 24-year-old explained how the set decorators built a small, mahogany coffin with a velvet lining and an engraved silver plaque for Millie.
"What I'm trying to say is that you're all very special to me and that your vote of confidence means a lot," Watson said to the audience, which consisted of stars including Robert Downey Jr and Dame Judi Dench who both won awards.
